Welcome

This tutorial of TechSmith's Camtasia Studio, a screen capture and editing program, gives you the basics you need to get started creating your own simple screencasts. The tutorial is designed with users in mind who have never before created or published a screencast, so if you are a novice, this tutorial is just for you.

When you are ready to begin, the "Getting Started" tab at the top will get you on your way. Along the way, explore the tabs on the right for additional information that we think you will find helpful.

This tutorial was created using Camtasia Studio, and other software, in fulfillment of a course requirement of EDET703. If you would like to meet the design team and read about the process we used to develop this, please stop by our project wiki.

When you are done, we'd love to get your feedback. There is a short evaluation survey where you can tell us how we did at the "Provide Feedback" tab at the right.

The tutorial is designed with users in mind who have never before created or published a screencast, so if you are a novice, this tutorial is just for you. A sitemap to guide you through the tutorial and pdf version of the content is available here.
